Beta

I decided to take the advice of all you wonderful ladies who commented on my previous post, and went in for a beta today morning.

The levels are 852 (17 dpo). Progesterone levels are 24. The nurse said it was upto me to come back for a second beta. I've decided to go again on Monday. My heart rate is perpetually high worrying. I think I have never been so anxious or nervous in my life. Is that normal?

Thankfully, the spotting has stopped for now.

I wished away the last 1.5 yrs waiting for AF, waiting to Ov etc. Now I seem to be wishing my life away again, counting down to the next beta, and hopefully an U/S. Wow, this is nerve wrecking.

I am so so thankful for this blessing. I've said this before, but I want to reemphasize, I thank you all so much for your support and kind words. I don't know how I would have made it this far without you all.

To all you ladies, I ask - will one ever stop worrying?

  1. Congratulations! I don't know if the worry ever goes away entirely -- I would be anxious as well. Hoping everything works out for you -- it sounds like a great number to me.

  4. Yippee! We're on the exact same day. Isn't that crazy?! And thank you, thank you, a 1,000 times thank you. I've been freaking that my high numbers mean triplets but you're higher than me. I'm 702. I'm really, really happy for you.

  6. Congratulations on your beta! What a wonderful result.

Yes, you are completely normal, and no, the worrying never completely goes away. I read this quote on another blog recently:

When you feel worry coming on, always remember that you have another choice. As long as you're imagining elaborate scenarios, you might as well imagine the very best.-- Ralph Marston

I am so happy for you. Can't wait to hear about your fabulous doubling time on Monday.

  9. No it doesn't go away. Not after passing the magical first trimester. Not after delivery. For us infertiles it will always be there.

  10. Oh my goodness, Congratulations! A beta over 800 sounds great for 17dpiui! Truly it sounds good. Of course things can still go wrong, but you are off to a good start. The spotting must be very hard, but if your beta goes up like it should on Monday hopefully you can relax a little, then an ultrasound in two weeks should really put you at easy.

I will be thinking of you this weekend and hoping for great numbers on Monday!

  11. Congrats, congrats, congrats! I am thrilled for your news. It's a great beta.
I'd like to tell you that the worry goes away, but for me it's still there lingering in the back of my mind, I still instinctively check the tp everytime I go to the bathroom. All I can say is the worry subsides with time, but I think that unfortunately for those of us that have struggled for so long to conceive, we are that much more aware of the negative stories than the uncomplicated ones, making us question every sign and symptom. I am so happy for you and sending you good thoughts and vibes!

I know you are worried sick (and sorry to tell you that it really doesn't go away). Just try and focus on the next big milestone...that's all you can do. One day at a time. I could not be more thrilled for you!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!
